Rainy Goal Rush

Last rainy sunday morning, our most complete line up so far this season traveled to Changkat Changi Sec's field looking to preserve our run of wins against Kallang Roar Utd.

Our opposition, youngsters formed from Singapore's soccer fans site was there early warming up early while our team arrived just on time again. Team manager didnt take that lightly.

Our team started the match brightly with an offensive 4-3-3 and piled up the pressure on KR in the early opening minutes before our keeper decided to donate a goal to them, failing to collect a light grounder, he does a taibi!

we didnt make much of that goal as it was against the play of the game and almost answered immediately when kheng wee rocked their. Yet, our team decided to cry at the miss allowing KR to play the ball upwards and a perfect through pass allow them to increase their lead to 2-0.

A worst possible start possible, luckily the team wasn't short on fighting spirit and we chased to a 2-2 draw with quick goals from kheng wee and desmond who was leading our front line together with ben impressively.

KR once again snatched the lead after their CB slipped unnoticed and planted a free header from their corner. much to the anger of the Manager, "who the FUCK is marking him!!!"

a improvised long shot from the restart saw KW's shot rocketed off the cross bar and desmond free to net the return, we were back in business! taking matters into his own hands, ben made a fool out of KR's defence and turn in a superb curl effort into the bottom left, 4-3!!!

half time talk proved clinical as we sorted out our mistakes. we headed straight back into the game with KW finishing a hat trick on his debut official match and jinyu's first goal a repeat of his first half miss from a wilson corner.

Although unable to put his penetrative skills to good use in the game, daryl proved his critics with some fine defending although with some questionable backpasses. Desmond and Kelvin made their presence felt at the back after the cold start and we were making mincemeat out of KR. Jinyu shone in the center of the park, threading passes forward and spraying balls to all areas.

Robin made up for his mistakes with a fine second half display and even had 2 assists as his long balls throw KR's defence into disarray letting KW through on goal. Although they clawed one back in the second half we also saw our team practice shouting at posts.....

It could have been more if not for silly refreeing who didnt leave the middle circle throughout the game and giving wrong offside calls and accusing players of 2 legged tackles when they are standing up. wat rubbish!

good game guys and time to work on our defence!

Manager's pick of MOM: Jinyu/Kheng Wee
